MIRIAN ROMERO

Mirian Romero is the Office Manager and Senior Paralegal at the Franco Law Group.  She has worked in the field of immigration law for the past seven years, helping clients and their families in the legal process toward residency. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is a devoted advocate for immigrant communities.  As a first-generation Mexican American, she has firsthand experience on the plight of being an immigrant in the U.S.

Ms. Romero’s parents were immigrants from Colima, Mexico who struggled daily to provide opportunity for their daughter.  Indeed, her parents’ hard work and guidance enabled her to study at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in education.  Further, she obtained a two-year Translation and Interpretation Certification from UCLA’s Extension Program in 2012.

Advocating for underrepresented communities deeply resonates with Ms. Romero. Throughout the duration of her college career, she participated in numerous community service causes such as education, poverty, and immigration law.  Moreover, she worked with immigrant women to help teach them English, and provide them with a comprehensive understanding for U.S. culture and their civil rights. She also volunteered with high schools to educate youth on their opportunities to pursue higher education.

Ms. Romero’s diligence and dedication over the past seven years has resulted in her being granted the State of California Paralegal Certification in December 2012.  She was awarded the Making the Difference award in 2015 and Leading by Example award in 2016 by Franco Law Group as recognition for her hard work, determination, and unwavering commitment to the immigrant community. The entirety of Mirian’s educational accomplishments, volunteer work with immigrants and immigration law work experience have enabled her to better serve clients and develop a unique rapport with them and their families.
