REPUTABLE IMMIGRATION LAW OFFICE SEEKS ATTORNEY
Job Type: Full-time
Experience:1-year experience in immigration law required
Requirements: The ability to speak, read, and write fluent in Spanish is required FLG is seeking a highly motivated, qualified and passionate candidate with a strong interest or background in immigration law. Candidates who have taken immigration law classes or have practiced immigration law are preferred. Duties:
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- -Represent clients in Immigration Courts (detained and non-detained) with asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, or any other applicable relief
- -Represent client before USCIS and ICE;
- -Represent minors in probate court or family court to obtain predicate orders supporting SIJS;
- -The candidate must be willing to travel to detention centers anywhere in the country;
- -The candidate must have a strong interest in developing his or her litigation skills; have strong case management ability, legal research and legal writing skills
- -The candidate must demonstrate the ability and willingness to zealously pursue new and untested legal theories;
- -The candidate must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and work under pressure;
- -Conduct client intake and consultations;
- -Conduct community outreach by attending events and participating in workshops;
- -The ability to speak, read, and write fluent in Spanish is required;
- -Other tasks as needed and as assigned by the firm’s management.
