Jose Diaz is a practicing Immigration Associate Attorney with the Franco Law Group. Attorney Diaz represents clients in numerous immigration matters including, but not limited to, deportation defense before the Immigration Court, family petitions, adjustment of status, DACA, U-Visa, 601A waivers, NACARA, and TPS.
Attorney Diaz was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa and arrived in the United States as an immigrant child. At an early age, Mr. Diaz’ parents instilled their hard work ethic on him; from selling merchandise at the local swap meet as a child to becoming an attorney. Attorney Diaz recognizes how lucky he has been and as a result makes it his mission is to keep immigrant families together in the United States, so they too can achieve their American Dream.
In 2011, Attorney Diaz began working in the field of immigration law as an intern. He graduated from California State University in Los Angeles and Western State University College of Law in Orange County. While in law school, Attorney Diaz focused his studies on Immigration Law. He took part in the Immigration Clinic organized at his law school, where he helped immigrants in the Orange County community by conducting various workshops and by being part of the legal orientation program at the John Musick Detention Center. For this work, Attorney Diaz was awarded a Certificate of Exemplary Public Service for dedicating 200 plus hours of public service to the immigrant community. Attorney Diaz regularly participates in workshops and forums to empower and educate the immigrant community.
Attorney Diaz is a certified mediator in Los Angeles County and a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is licensed by the State Bar of California and is authorized to practice before all the Immigration Courts in the United States and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
