Ashley Rodriguez is a Legal Assistant at the Franco Law Group. She is a first-generation Costa Rican American, raised in Glendora, CA. For most of her life, she wasn’t aware of her family’s struggles due to their immigration status let alone the challenges the immigrant community faces. It wasn’t until her early adulthood when her parents were able to apply for their citizenship that she realized the struggles they experienced and how challenging the process is to gain legal status in the United States.
As a result, Ms. Rodriguez grew determined to help others going through the same struggle. She began her college career at Mt. San Antonio College, where she obtained an Associates Degree in Political Science. She subsequently transferred and earned a Legal Studies degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where Ms. Rodriguez became immersed in the labyrinth that is the law and the different ways that it can help others. Ms. Rodriguez participated in immigration clinics, worked at a non-profit organization in the Bay Area specializing in defense asylum, and also assisted in a Research Lab dedicated to research in implicit biases relative to race and gender.
Currently, Ms. Rodriguez is attending Mt. San Antonio College, on track to graduate in December of 2020 with an Associate's Degree in Legal Assistant/Paralegal Studies. Ms. Rodriguez’ passion lies in the ways that law can help communities and aspires to continue supporting the immigrant community in any way possible. She is currently delivering on her personal mission by fighting each day for our clients and helping them achieve success in their immigration cases.
